Forest Rangers Hut
Martin, a forest ranger at Deerpark Forest Holidays site gives guided forest walks and hosts a range of activities including:
· Forest Survival - Orienteering and shelter building
· Dusk Watch - study of moths and bats using bat detectors and moth traps
· Night Vision - a forest walk including use of night vision equipment targetting owls, bats and maybe deer.
· Amazing Animals - pond and stream dipping

The times and types of activity change throughout the year depending on daylight hours. Charges apply for Forest Holiday Activities – please enquire for price and book in advance at Deerpark Forest Holidays reception 01503 220370, 09:00 – 11:00 or 16:00 to 18:00.
The forest trails and local footpaths and lanes are ideal for walking. Many people enjoy cycling along the wider trails and along the lanes.
Due to the low level of light pollution, Deerpark Forest Caravan Site is a fantastic place to watch the night sky. On a clear night the sky can be truly amazing at the caravan site. Not only can you see thousands of stars, it is possible to see satellites travelling across the night sky and if you are lucky a shooting star. August seems to be one of the best times to see shooting stars.
Horse Riding
